Randy Nteka (born December 6, 1997) is a professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for La Liga club Rayo Vallecano. Versatile and dynamic, he can also operate as a forward. Born in France, Nteka represents Angola at the international level.
Born in Paris, Nteka embarked on his football journey in Spain, joining Betis San Isidro on trial in January 2017. Despite financial struggles—including a period without a paycheck—he persevered, making 13 appearances and scoring three goals in the 2016–17 season. To support himself, he even took on maintenance duties at the club, cleaning the dressing rooms and managing the training ground.
In November 2017, Nteka moved to Fuenlabrada after an unsuccessful trial with Rayo Vallecano B. Initially assigned to the reserves, he never featured for the B-team, instead earning a spot in the first-team squad under Antonio Calderón. He made an instant impact, scoring in his debut match on January 7, 2018, in a 2–1 victory over Deportivo Fabril.
After signing a three-year contract extension in June 2018, Nteka played a crucial role in Fuenlabrada’s promotion to the Segunda División, contributing eight goals. He made his professional debut on August 17, 2019, in a 2–0 win over Elche CF and scored his first professional goal on October 13, 2019, in a match against Mirandés. His impressive performances in the 2020–21 season, where he finished as Fuenlabrada’s top scorer with eight goals, earned him a move to La Liga.
On July 28, 2021, Nteka signed a five-year deal with newly promoted La Liga side Rayo Vallecano alongside teammate Pathé Ciss. He made his top-flight debut on August 15, 2021, against Sevilla and scored his first goal for the club on August 29, 2021, in a dominant 4–0 victory over Granada.
On February 1, 2023, Nteka joined fellow La Liga side Elche on loan until the end of the season, gaining valuable experience at the highest level.
Although born in France, Nteka has Angolan and DR Congolese heritage. He made his international debut for Angola on June 7, 2024, in a FIFA World Cup qualifier against Eswatini at the Estádio 11 de Novembro, playing the full match as Angola secured a 1–0 victory.
